I can’t remember when I first started to like Mac. Definitely, nagtatrabaho pa ako sa Maynila nun. I first saw an iMac in the movies. Then, one of my bosses – having heard that I do some minor PC repairs around the office – asked that I come round to his house after work and sort out his iMac and internet connection. (Syempre di niya alam yung distinction between doing PC repairs and doing Mac repairs, no? Hay.) But opening it and moving around in that OS (although daunting at first), I seemed to find my way around much quicker than I thought. Hmmm, it’s not so alien from the PC after all. Circa late 90s to ha?
Then years passed and a colleague showed me her Mac laptop (not sure kung MacBook na yun at the time or iBook pa rin). It still didn’t disappoint. Startup time was way faster than most laptops and PCs on the Windows OS, fantastic graphics, and very, very intuitive user interface (read: stupid-friendly!!!). Nade-develop na ako…and slowly, I found myself comparing laptops to MacBooks everytime. Realization came, before I resigned in 2006. I knew that when I buy my first laptop, it would be a MacBook.

So, that was 2 years ago…here I am, still unemployed…still seeking employment
…still Mac-less.
***I know I said Macs are stupid-friendly, but I want to know more about the nifty features of Leopard and the new versions of iWork to save me from having to make an appointment at the Genius bar when I finally buy a Mac. Halata bang excited?
